[2023/11/15 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: And as I remember it... you were all at Grannys', just finishing potato pie with Katana waited outside, and Vorag had suggested that Leesha take on his quest.

[2023/11/15 16:17] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Just to make sure I understand, run this quest of yours by me again?"
[2023/11/15 16:19] Alicia Frakture: become a warrior holy m an like the guy in the robes with the stick
[2023/11/15 16:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: Vorag: "Me tried to find way to be big holy warrior. Vorag not do so well, now me think of settling down. Maybe Leeshy can do this, be big holy orc warrior, show humans orcs can be good. Although she half orc, is still orc."

[2023/11/15 16:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Vorag not know for sure. Maybe try holy shrine, it east of here. Caravan going past there, be safe to travel with them."
[2023/11/15 16:30] Alicia Frakture: Sounds like a plan. Maybe we can find your horse and cart Debben
[2023/11/15 16:31] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "I mean, other than trying to locate a wagon, I don't have a whole lot else planned." Other than spending some time reviewing her spell books and experimenting, but that not quite her friends business
[2023/11/15 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Vorag go have ale at inn. Maybe you find someone to ride with there."
[2023/11/15 16:32] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): "I will help as much as i can to find that wagon and the horse and who took it. And with any of the holy stuff too. ", she smiled flying around feeling happier than usual after eating.
[2023/11/15 16:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: Granny curses and snaps her dishcloth at Dahlia. "Shoo, shoo, go away, damn fly... Oh! It's your little friend... sorry!"

[2023/11/15 16:34] Sonja Bikergrrl: (short sighted, forgetful, and not used to such things, certainly!)
[2023/11/15 16:34] Sonja Bikergrrl: So, off to the inn?

[2023/11/15 16:37] Alicia Frakture: Then off we go :)
[2023/11/15 16:37] Sonja Bikergrrl: You head out, and nearly walk into the back of Katana, standing still as a statue. With a creaking of grinding rocks, she stretches and accompanies you. Obviously it's a short and uneventful stroll to the inn... althought Dahlia (and only Dahlia) sees a faintly glowing, slightly transparant dog watching you... as he notices Dahlia looking, the dog gives a silent bark and trots away, then pauses to look over his shoulder at Dahlia, before fading from view. He doesn't reappear.
[2023/11/15 16:39] Alicia Frakture: Leesha walks in, hopefully everyone else does too
[2023/11/15 16:39] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me sticks her tongue out at the dog before it rudely walks, "bad puppy!", she would exclaim when it barked, "The rudeness of some animals...."
[2023/11/15 16:39] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me following Leesha then
[2023/11/15 16:39] Sonja Bikergrrl: Everyone but Katana, who remains outside. The conversation hushes as Vorag ambles in... then everyone decides to mind their own business and resume drinking.
[2023/11/15 16:40] Sonja Bikergrrl: From a table in the corner, the little gnome from earlier waves cheerfully. "Oh! Hey! Debben, and your tall friends!"
[2023/11/15 16:41] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): Looks to her companions, "Did anyone else see that rude dog out there?"
[2023/11/15 16:41] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Heya! How's going?" She'll approach him. "Got room for some drinking buddies at this table?"
[2023/11/15 16:41] Alicia Frakture: What dog?
[2023/11/15 16:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: The gnome - you recall him as Boddyknock - moves aside. "Plenty of room!"
[2023/11/15 16:41] Alicia Frakture: Leesha follows to the table
[2023/11/15 16:42] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): it was a transparent kind of ghostly puppy , it barked and walked off...
[2023/11/15 16:42] Alicia Frakture: Sorry, didn't see anything. Didn't hear any barking either.
[2023/11/15 16:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: Vorag pauses by the bar, then ambles over with a fistful of tankards. He pauses, and looks at Dahlia. "Oh, me forget, got you big ale... you not drink too much, little flying one."
[2023/11/15 16:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: Boddyknock is clearly happy for the company. "A fellow short one! And... two orcs... and a pixie? My. You don't see many pixies about. How on Earth did you team up?"
[2023/11/15 16:46] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Through trials and tribulations." She sighs, "A thirsty tale, even, with many twists and turns."
[2023/11/15 16:47] Sonja Bikergrrl: Vorag plants a tankard before Debben. "Drink, little one," he says, and Boddyknock continues, "It sounds like an epic journey, but, I'm curious... just how did you meet? That seems like quite the thing."
[2023/11/15 16:48] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Well, we didn't meet all at once." She takes her first sip. "It starts with Leesha and I, I'd say. Meet each other in the central city, in somewhat... unlikely meetups, we ended up being issued a quest by the court wizard. Closest people at hand, I think."
[2023/11/15 16:48] Alicia Frakture: Indeed, but wouldn't trade it for anything
[2023/11/15 16:49] Sonja Bikergrrl: "It sounds like quite the story, worthy of any bard. And, my story is not so interesting, I'm carting a few supplies to a nearby village."
[2023/11/15 16:52] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Maybe we'll find a bard suited to tell it," she sips again, considering. "Well, a second bard, the first one got pretty spooked."
[2023/11/15 16:52] Alicia Frakture: Leesha pauses."In what direction are you heading?"
[2023/11/15 16:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Your story sounds a little dangerous... I'm with the traders, we're heading east tomorrow."
[2023/11/15 16:54] Alicia Frakture: Saaaay You in need of travelling companions?
[2023/11/15 16:54] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "I'd be happy to spend a few weeks laying low, as it were."
[2023/11/15 16:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Can't hurt. I'm travelling more or less empty, just got a few things to deliver."
[2023/11/15 16:57] Alicia Frakture: So when do you intend to head out?
[2023/11/15 16:57] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "The morning, or mid-day?"
[2023/11/15 16:58] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Tomorrow morning. Get a nice sleep tonight, head out before the day gets busy."
[2023/11/15 16:59] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (how much time is left in the day?)
[2023/11/15 16:59] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me "morning sounds perfect, right at the beginning of the day....and we can check out the carts"
[2023/11/15 16:59] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "how much space you got left in your wagons?"
[2023/11/15 16:59] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods."Sounds good to me."
[2023/11/15 16:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: While you're talking, a village comes in, looking quite wide-eyed and shocked, and goes to the barkeeper and starts a quick conversation.
[2023/11/15 17:00] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (( Do you mean a villagER or has an entire collection of huts entered the tavern? ))
[2023/11/15 17:00] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: ((After the last arc I am only 80% sure it's the first )
[2023/11/15 17:00] Sonja Bikergrrl: It's getting late, definitely evening time. Boddyknock doesn't run the caravan, he's just one trader. "My cart is practically empty, lots of room... just don't smoke there!"
[2023/11/15 17:01] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Sorry, trying to type fast and answer y'all...) a villager, one.
[2023/11/15 17:03] Alicia Frakture: Lessha tries to listen to both conversations
[2023/11/15 17:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: The whispered conversation at the bar is too far away to hear, but you see the effect, the barkeeper pales and looks shocked, and looks at your table. Like a ripple in a pond, the villages whisper and go quiet, and all look at you with the same surprised and shocked expression.
[2023/11/15 17:05] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "I don't usuallly smoke, makes too much trace." She ponders the worth of trying to pick up a few trade goods before they head out, though if it's already evening the opening may be closed.
[2023/11/15 17:05] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nudges the others."Something is going weird."
[2023/11/15 17:06] Sonja Bikergrrl: The barkeeper looks around unhappily. It looks like he has something to do that he'd rather someone else do.
[2023/11/15 17:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: Finally the barkeeper has a quick whisper with the barmaid. Then, to you: "I think you'd best come with me, friends." The barmaid gives everyone a smile. "So, who needs some ale?"
[2023/11/15 17:08] Alicia Frakture: Leesha gets to her feet to follow
[2023/11/15 17:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: The barkeeper walks out of the inn - a muffled curse as he nearly walks into Katana, still as a statue. He carries on... towards, you start to realize, the graveyard.
[2023/11/15 17:10] Sonja Bikergrrl: "This is a very bad business, and Silas don't tell no lies, I just hope and pray..." he trails off into silence and halts.
[2023/11/15 17:10] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at Katana Come on with." as she gets to the cemetary
[2023/11/15 17:10] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben sighs, slamming the rest of her whiskey, and preparing to stand up. "What's the situation?"
[2023/11/15 17:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: Everyone gets to make a Sanity check! Roll d100.
[2023/11/15 17:11] Alicia Frakture: *79*
[2023/11/15 17:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: Debben, Dahlia too
[2023/11/15 17:13] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: 33.... doubles don't do anything special in this system, right?
[2023/11/15 17:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: Nope, it's 33.
[2023/11/15 17:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia, two d10s
[2023/11/15 17:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: and Debben gets to roll the d6
[2023/11/15 17:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: no, Leesha, not Debben
[2023/11/15 17:14] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Getting late, I roll 08 for Dahlia. I should be long gone)
[2023/11/15 17:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: What you see doesn't affect Debben or Dahlia so much, but it definitely unsettles and scares Leesha, who feels a definite fright running through her
[2023/11/15 17:17] Sonja Bikergrrl: What you see... is... Megan. Standing beside an open, crudely dug out grave. It's definitely Megan... complete with the huge wound at her throat from the wolf that killed her. Her skin is definitely greenish in tinge, you can see that in the fading evening light. Not the green of an orc, but the green of a dead body... she just stands there silently. With, you can't help noticing, a note, pinned to her chest with an old dagger.
[2023/11/15 17:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: The innkeeper makes a few noises, spluttering and gasping, mostly, then a few gestures to ward off evil spirits.
[2023/11/15 17:20] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Megan?!" She gasps, surprised for a moment, her horror soon punted to the back of her mind by anger. "That foul necromancer, may moles consume his spleen. Megan would never have wanted this."
[2023/11/15 17:20] Alicia Frakture: *Actually since it is Megan Can it be less fear and more guilt, since she already felt bad about her death?*
[2023/11/15 17:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Can be, quite easily. Either way, it's a nasty shock to your system. The dice gods have spoken!)
[2023/11/15 17:22] Alicia Frakture: th.. there's a note on her... I'll get it. Stay back in case something bad happens like the last note.
[2023/11/15 17:22] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): (Dahlia had trouble for a second but has caught up and understands the scene fully)
[2023/11/15 17:23] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): stays back and takes in the detail of what is happening
[2023/11/15 17:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: The note isn't trapped. (There may be a reason why not...) The note simply reads: "Cassandra and I look forward to soon meeting with you again..."
[2023/11/15 17:24] Alicia Frakture: Leesha brings the note to the others
[2023/11/15 17:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: "I think..." the innkeeper says slowly, "I think... you should leave town..."
[2023/11/15 17:25] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Megan?" She waves her hand in front of Megan's face to see if her eyes track motion.
[2023/11/15 17:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: Megans' corpse doesn't react in any way.
[2023/11/15 17:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: And since it's 1:20am and I'm up in five hours... DUN DUN DUNNNN... cliffhanger!
[2023/11/15 17:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: I'll see you all tomorrow... "sweet" dreams ;)
